The story

Founded in 1979 as a wilderness therapy program, The Mountain Center guides New Mexicans through adventure-based therapy, outdoor equine programs and trauma-informed recovery. Every year its story has to reach donors, partners, agencies and the families looking for help.

We re-architected and built a new, comprehensive website for The Mountain Center. Executive leadership and program managers reviewed it together on a live staging site, leaving comments right on the pages, so copy, locations, staff structure and each program's call to action were refined by the people who know them best.

We have shaped the organization's reporting year after year: Solid in Strength and Purpose for fiscal year 2021, Standing Strong for 2022, Defined Growth for 2023 and the FY2025 Impact Report. Each edition turns outcome metrics, financial performance, donor recognition and year-over-year program numbers into a clear story of regional impact, paired with real participants and New Mexico landscapes.

Building Up, the capital campaign brochure, borrowed the question climbers ask their teammates on the tower: Do you support me? It made the case for a new ropes course and a 35-foot yurt in Tesuque, an estimated $220,000 project. The FY2023 report later shared that the community raised over $220,000 to build them.

Behind the scenes, we designed intake and referral materials such as the Aspen House Referral Packet, which lays out admission criteria, intensive outpatient services, funding options and clinical guidelines. We also organized the photography, program logos and messaging guidelines so every team speaks from the same mission.
